A Global Time of Repentance: Republic of South Africa

We believe the Lord wants us in this Month of February, 2023 to focus on the corruption in national governments and high powers. And all the violence and corruption within South Africa is a classic demonstration of oppression as opposed to the Liberty in Christ that is available to all nations, thanks to His Blood, His Word, and His full authority.  

Electricity Crises in South Africa

These past few months South Africa has been going through some tough times as far as Electricity Shortages & Outages are concerned. Load-shedding has been implemented since 2007 already by Eskom - and has been on and off on an irregular basis ever since. Load-shedding means that while one area has electricity, another area’s electricity has been cut for anything from 2 hour on, depending on the Load-shedding stage determined by Eskom. And then for example after 2 hours, the areas which electricity was cut, will come back on, and then other areas across the country will be cut again. And the Load-shedding Stage is determined by the amount of 1,000 Mega Watts that is required to be shed, in order for Eskom to manage the electricity demand for that particular day. eg: Stage 1 = 1,000 MW, Stage 6 = 6,000 MW etc…

But since August 2022, shortly after the Eskom Staff ended their strike end of June 2022, we have had continuous Power outages, even over Christmas and New Year - with anything from Stage 3 up to Stage 6 - with Stage 6 having as much as 4-hours electricity outage for any given area at a time, with 4-hours Power on again, just to have another 4-hours Power cut again, continuing like this day and night.

Now the reasons for these Electricity outages, are first of all due to bad planning, mismanagement of Eskom Funds and corruption within government. With other crime elements like Diesel and Coal being stolen, and even sabotage of the actual Electricity Generating Plants….

Meaning the Electricity plants are not being managed nor maintained properly, nor were there much proper planning to increase the supply to meet the demand of the country. And thus we are now in such a situation, that it will take years to stabilize Eskom, and for South Africa to not experience any further Load-Shedding issues…

And the current CEO of Eskom has also resigned mid December 2022, due to all these pressures and no support from government to look into all the issues…And the day after he submitted his resignation, he was even poisoned with cyanide…!!!

The Ripple Effect

Now, this alone doesn’t seem like much of a crises, until we start looking deeper at the ripple effect of these power cuts. For then we see that this is starting to cripple South Africa, placing us in desperate need of God’s to intervene, and for God’s Wisdom and Light to break through this impending darkness we are facing…

i.e.:

• Farmers are impacted at large scale, due to them requiring continuous electricity for the irrigation of their crops, and/or requiring electricity for their animals. Although many farmers do have the ability to install generators, not all farmers can afford it, and thus we’ve seen videos of farmers praying and pleading to God already to intervene, as their crops and/or livestock are suffering, as some have lost their whole batch of 50,000 chickens…, and the crops on the field are drying out, as there isn’t enough rain and we are having heatwave upon heatwave, and the crops can’t handle the heat, and without proper irrigation, there won’t be much of a harvest soon !!

• This in return is about to lead to potential Food Shortages coming winter time, not just for South Africa, but will also impact many further up into Africa and beyond…, meaning food prices - which are already inflated due to the recent expensive Diesel & Petrol prices - will now increase even more, causing a number of poor families that will not be able to afford to buy food anymore..

• But that is not all, all small businesses are also being affected, as they can not afford to buy and run on generators during these power outages, and thus they have to close their doors during load shedding times, thus losing sales and possible customers to the Corporate Businesses, which is also a huge loss for the Small-to-Medium Enterprises, which in itself can cause even more job losses, increasing the poverty rate…

• And last, we have the crime element, that when the power goes off, thieves, and anyone that can steal, will try and enter various properties, and try to loot, or steal anything, but mostly electric cables, and even take the Electricity Transformer Boxes etc. Meaning when the Electricity in an area are turned back on, then there are explosions of these power boxes, and it often take days to restore just 1 power box. Meaning various neighborhoods across the country are without power for days, thus placing huge pressure on our Security companies and the Police, as they again need to be extra vigilant during these load-shedding times ! But because the areas are far and wide spread where the power is off at any particular time, it is very difficult to have enough people covering all the different areas. And thus crime is rising across the country, as these Electricity issues are taking longer and longer to be resolved. And again the farmers are the ones suffering, with their security systems not working during these load-shedding times, their lives are at risk - with all these farm murders still happening regularly, and then the poor areas also, as the electricians coming to resolve the issues, their lives are then being threatened, and thus they can’t always enter in certain neighborhoods, without proper police escort..etc…

Your Prayers for South Africa are heard by God

Thus, we therefore appeal to everyone that can and is willing to pray across the globe, to stand with South Africa again, as you did in July 2021, which we can report today that things have drastically turned towards the better within South Africa, as all attempts to cause further disruption in our country, has come to nothing since then….!!

Many have come to insight and saw the effects of looting and rioting, and many of the perpetrators organizing and stirring these riots, have been arrested and placed into prison. There has been a number of threats during 2022 that more uproars were being planned, but when the time came, there was little to no response from the masses to attend these meetings and marches, etc.

And we give God all the Glory for that…!!!

And thus we have hope - that if we all come together again, and REPENT and PRAY via intercession for all of South Africa, their leaders, government, right down to the man in the street, we believe that God will hear our Prayers, and He will send the right people in the right positions, to bring answers, and that the crime element in our country will also die down again..!!

Repentance Points

Therefore our Main Repentance Points for February 4th are as follows:

• Corruption and Greed - especially in Government

• Bitterness and Hate - as this is still coming from the days of the apartheid - and many across the different cultures are still sitting with that hate and bitterness, pointing finger at each other, playing the blame game, and using each and every situation - like this Electricity crises we are now facing - to just stir up all those hate again.

• Idolatry

• Witchcraft

We believe these cries of hearts crying out to God have reached His ears. 

The Spirit of The Lord has now chosen to speak through one of His children, and called South Africa to a National Day of Repentance – this coming Saturday, February 4th, 2023..!!

PRAYER POINTS

The Republic of South Africa was once a nation that strongly believed in their God, and many battles were fought and won by True Faith in their God. But this faith has been lost over the years, and many have fallen away and are questioning why they should believe. Only a small number of believers are still fighting the battle in prayer and intercession day and night for their beloved country, which is what is keeping this nation from further break down. But they need your support, and to come beside them and pray and intercede and repent with them, and show them that their prayers are being heard in the heavenlies, and that there are still Christians that truly care and want to join hands with them in agreement that the Republic of South Africa can once again be that Nation that is devoted and in submission to their First Love – Jesus Christ..!!

For we know that the Word is clear about that, that when a nation starts to drift away from God, and His Righteousness is forsaken, that that nation cannot stand as before. For what you hate, you become. Therefore, we need a spirit of Forgiveness and Repentance to flow into the Republic of South Africa, and for the people that claim that they are Christian, to humble themselves before their God again, repent, and return to their First Love.

Therefore, Please pray that: 

1. Peace would be restored to the Republic of South Africa

2. We and the peoples of South Africa would repent for seeking our own glory, especially when we have continued in the sins of our ancestors.

3. Jesus would be glorified among every culture group in South Africa, and that they would spread His riches around the world as evangelists and disciple-makers.

4. Jesus would be seen as having abolished in His flesh all enmity between peoples, having become our peace, having broken down the middle wall of separation, creating in Himself one new man, from the two, thus making peace, reconciling all people to God in one body through the cross.  (Ephesians  2: 14-16). 

5.  This Truth, that Jesus abolished all enmity, awaken and convict every soul in South Africa to repent, removing all division, bitterness, and hatred between white and black, and that discrimination will be totally abolished, through the Love of Christ Jesus, one for the other instead.

6.   The Truths that He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth (Acts 17:26)   and that we are all made in His image (Genesis 1: 26), add additional strength to abolish discrimination totally.

7. The spirit of self-gain and corruption will be destroyed from the head of the country down to the man in the street, through the Love of Jesus each one caring for his neighbor, and that the Republic of South Africa will become a country of spiritually mature people.

8. All forms of sexual perversion, child and sex trafficking, woman & child abuse, abortions, and the killing of all innocents will stop.  That God will protect our women and children.  That His Love will move mightily on the streets of each major city where people are living on the streets, and are dependent on drugs, that they will be delivered from drug abuse.

9. That Forgiveness, Repentance and Reconciliation will manifest between the different cultures, and that Bitterness and Hate will be removed from everyone’s hearts, and Idolatry will be broken down between the cultures, and that the Republic of South Africa shall love and Serve the Lord our God only.

10.  That the National Day of Repentance in South Africa on February 4th, 2023 will open up so many hearts to call upon the Living God in sincere repentance that He will hear from heaven, forgive sin and heal His beloved South Africa, and that this God Solution from His Word (2 Chronicles 7:14) will be example to all nations today to do likewise.
