National Day of Repentance: January 20, 2025

Three thousand years ago, the LORD revealed to King Solomon the process by which He would heal a land of wickedness where His people resided. It's obviously still True today: "When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence [ including moral pestilence] among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land." ( 2 Chronicles 7:13,14 NKJV).

God willing, for 47 days, starting December 5th, 2024 and ending on January 20, 2025, the day of the Presidential Inauguration, NDR will share each day a simple devotional, naming a national sin. Following the example of Nehemiah, Ezra and Daniel, please join us, repenting yourself, for your family, for this USA. Join us each day in your own prayer closet, or in any group, confessing and repenting for that national sin.

Then, starting at 11 AM Eastern time on January 19, NDR will encourage a 24 hour National Day of Repentance, concluding one hour prior to the Inauguration on January 20. Intercessors from other nations will be invited to join us also.

The final two hours of the twenty four will be a ZOOM CALL (9am EST), to which you're invited, to acknowledge and repent of the sins and to declare our return to the Lord's Godly roots. It's ALL about giving honor to Almighty God and His process set forth in His Word, not to man.

True healing of any nation comes from Him when He "hears from heaven" that His people called by His name have humbled themselves, prayed, sought His face, and turned back to Him, sincerely having repented. May this process restore the Godly roots of this nation !

There have been days of national prayer each year, but no other call for National Repentance has been issued from Congress or the White House since 1974!!

As the Holy Spirit may lead, perhaps this year - 2025 - be a year where National Repentance throughout the states of the USA will be called for again for each person to confess and then repent from a personal sin such as is listed in Proverbs 6:16-19: " These six things the LORD hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him: a proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren." 

And then, for each person to also confess and repent from a national sin: like the killing of innocents in the womb, or idolatry (the spirit of self or mammon), or legalized sexual perversions, or the failure to stand with Israel 100% or any of the national sins we will list these 47 days leading up to the Inauguration on January 20, 2025.

Proverbs 14:34 in the Complete Jewish Bible version states: "Righteousness makes a nation great, but sin degrades any people." 

Today our nation has been severely degraded.

BUT: You and I can change that as we REPENT!  This nation has held more than 800 earlier days, not just of prayer, but of repentance.

Please share this timely move of repentance with your prayer team and your pastor, and encourage them to join us.

That pastor too needs to repent: " For the time has come for judgment to begin in the house of God..." ( 1 Peter 4:17). 

Repentance is not condemnation, but the purging, chastening, and purifying of the church by the loving hand of God!
